From Plaion Pictures, the buddy-cop thrill – First Shift – will have a digital release on 19th May. Here’s what they had to say:

This high-octane crime feature starring stars Gino Anthony Pesi and Kristen Renton as chalk-and-cheese detectives who must partner up and face off against a notorious and deadly criminal gang. The film gets its UK debut on digital, from Plaion Pictures this May.

Get ready for a thrilling, action-packed ride that dives headlong into a day in the lives of two New York law enforcement officers, who meet for their First Shift together and embark on a day on the road, tackling everything from drug lords and murder, to rescuing a stranded dog when his owner is taken ill suddenly.

Angie (Renton) is a rookie cop, who’s just starting out and loves documenting her whole life on social media, Deo (Pesi) is a long-in-the-tooth, old-school detective, who isn’t afraid to voice his opinions on modern life and has no time or patience with this generation and their new-fangled ways. See fireworks fly as this opposing pair try to find some common ground, while tackling a dangerous day on the streets.
