I am Dominic Hastings, a freelance film critic and writer based in Manchester, UK.

For over five years, I have been writing about films for a number of different websites – my work can be found on The Digital Fix, Coastal House Media (BCactionMR), Nerdly,  Ultimate Action Movie Club, HC Movie Reviews, Set The Tape, Read Film, and here on this blog. My work entails reviews, lists, throwback pieces, interviews, and festival coverage across the UK.

As well as providing press coverage at film festivals, I have served as a festival juror too – my debut came at the 16th Annual Kinofilm Festival.

Academically, I am a two-time graduate of The University of Salford, graduating in both BA (Hons) Film Studies (2017) and MA Media Production: TV Drama Production (2019).
