I am Dominic Hastings, a freelance film critic and writer based in Manchester, UK.

For a decade, I have been writing about films for a number of different websites – beyond here at DomOnFilm, my work has been found on The Digital Fix, Coastal House Media (BCactionMR), Nerdly,  Ultimate Action Movie Club, HC Movie Reviews, Set The Tape, and Read Film. My work entails reviews, lists, throwback pieces, interviews, and providing press coverage at the following film festivals: Manchester/MANIFF; Bolton; BFI LFF; and Grimmfest. I have served as a festival juror too – my debut came at the 16th Annual Kinofilm Festival.

Academically, I am a two-time graduate of The University of Salford, graduating in both BA (Hons) Film Studies (2017) and MA Media Production: TV Drama Production (2019).
