Hello, this is Dom…
From Bulldog Film Distribution, the nordic noir – Unmoored – will have a cinema release on 15th August. Here’s what they had to say:
Maria is a successful Swedish TV presenter whose life is turned upside down by shocking accusations made against her husband. To avoid the media attention, they head south on sabbatical. However, an unexpected confrontation triggers a desperate chain of events.
Alone, Maria flees to the solitude of the English moors, but her new idyll soon turns to paranoia. As her guilt grows, she is forced to examine the depths of her own self-deception in this psychological suspense drama.
Starring Mirja Turestedt (The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest), Thomas W. Gabrielsson (Borgen), Kris Hitchen (Sorry We Missed You), Sven Ahlström (Wallander), Anna Próchniak (The Tattooist of Auschwitz).
Unmoored is directed by Caroline Ingvarsson and written by Michèle Marshall. The film is adapted from the novel The Living and the Dead in Winsford by Håkan Nesser (winner of the Swedish Crime Writers’ Academy and the Rosenkrantz Prize for Best Crime Novel of the Year).
Many thanks to Alternate Current and Bulldog Film Distribution for providing the images above.
Dom.
For John.
