From Screenbound, the new punk documentary – 50 Years of Punk – will be released cinemas on 18th September 2026. Here’s what they had to say:

To celebrate this momentous anniversary, this new documentary traces the explosion of punk on London’s Kings Road and is the most authentic insider account of punk’s evolution and legacy, by the artists and people who lived it. Fifty years on, punk’s core values of individuality, creativity, authenticity and freedom, are more relevant than ever. Punk was never about the music – it is a way of life.

Featuring interviews and footage with Hugh Cornwell, Dave Vanian, Vivienne Westwood, Rat Scabies, Gaye Advert, Richard Jobson, Glen Mattlock, Jan Wobble, Terry Chimes, Tony James, Viv Albertine and many many more. Directed by Mark Sloper (Sid! By The People Who Knew Him, The Story of Skids: Scotland’s No.1 Punk Band).

A special Q&A preview screening with director Mark Sloper will be taking place at Showroom Sheffield on Weds 16th September at 8pm.
